Section 10 - Playoffs

Rule 10.a

The top 8 players in each division will make the playoffs - determined by league standings.

Rule 10.b

Playoffs will take place over a 2 week period with a 7 PM start time each week. 15 minute grace period, if the player still has not arrived, a forfeit may be declared if the opponent chooses to do so. After 30 minutes, a forfeit is declared automatically.

Rule 10.c

Playoff Week 1: Two rounds of competition --

Round 1: best of 9 (race to 5) 501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,Minnesota

  • 1st vs. 8th
  • 2nd vs. 7th
  • 3rd vs. 6th
  • 4th vs. 5th

Round 2: best of 11 (race to 6) 501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,Minnesota

  • Highest winning seed from Round 1 vs. Lowest winning seed from Round 1
  • 2nd Highest winning seed from Round 1 vs. 3rd Highest winning seed from Round 1
All players playing in Round 2 will advance to week 2 of the playoffs - win or lose

Rule 10.d

Playoff Week 2: All players in Round 2 will receive a portion of the Playoff Prize fund

3rd/4th Place Match: best of 11 (race to 6) 501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,Minnesota

  • The two players that lost in Round 2
Winner gets 3rd place Playoff payout - loser gets 4th place Playoff payout

1st/2nd Place Championship Match: best of 15 (race to 8) 501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,501,cricket,Minnesota

  • The two players that won in Round 2
Winner gets 1st place Playoff payout - loser gets 2nd place Playoff payout

Rule 10.e

The Playoffs will take place at the bar(s) of the Boards choosing. The goal will be to have all divisions playing their Championship matches together at one bar if possible.
